The women’s choir La Cappella celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2026. To mark this jubilee year, the choir is announcing a Nordic composition competition to expand the repertoire for women’s choirs.

The Trieste Schiller Association is organising the 3rd International Friedrich Schiller Competition ”Premio Raffaello de Banfield 2026”, dedicated to song compositions for voice and piano. The competition is open to composers of all nationalities who have not yet reached the age of 36 on 30 April 2026.

Vasabygdens Sång- och Musikförbund firar sitt 100-årsjubileum 2027 och utlyser i samband med detta en kompositionstävling för alla i Finland verksamma kompositörer.

Kompositionen skall vara skriven för blandad kör SATB och stråkorkester. Verkets svårighetsgrad skall vara anpassad till att framföras av amatörer.

The award-winning Swedish choir Allmänna Sången presents the 6th edition of its international competition for women composers. Submitted compositions must be original and must not have been previously published or performed. Composers are free to choose the lyrics for their piece, which should resonate with contemporary themes.

The winner will receive a prize of SEK 50,000 (approximately €4,500), and the winning composition will be premiered by Allmänna Sången and published by Gehrmans Musikförlag AB.
