The Foshan Composers Contest is a new competition created with the aim of encouraging composers to create new music celebrating to the city of Foshan. We invite composers to write compositions for an ensemble with Chinese and Western instruments. Works submitted should be inspired by and reflect the theme of Foshan and its Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH). The compositions should aim to blend traditional Cantonese folkloristic music and Western music.
Association dèdalo ensemble
The Association dèdalo ensemble announces the 10th edition of the International Composition Competition ”… a Camillo Togni”. The competition is open to musicians of all nationalities, with no age restrictions. It will be completed by December 2022 and will end with a public concert at which the final scores will be performed by dèdalo ensemble. The concert will be followed by the prize-giving ceremony.
Accordion Association of the Basque Country HAUSPOZ
The objective of the contest is to promote the creation of pieces for solo accordion and for accordion in chamber music.
A unique category with works composed for solo accordion and for chamber music with accordion which length does not exceed 10 minutes. The works of chamber music must be composed for a maximum of four players in which there is at least one accordion.
The competition is open to composers of any age and nationality. There is no entry fee.
Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra
We accept chamber pieces for one of the following instruments: violin (solo or with piano), voice (solo or with piano), piano, and string quartet. The violin, piano, and voice pieces ought to be from 3 to 5 minutes long. The string quartet pieces ought to be from 5 to 8 minutes long.
The age limit for participants is 40.
You may enter any number of pieces for the Competition. Entering each piece requires an entry fee of € 25 / 110 zł.
