2nd International Lieder Composition Competition ”Friedrich Schiller”
Trieste Schiller Association
The Trieste Schiller Association is organising the second International Friedrich Schiller Competition ”Premio Raffaello de Banfield 2025”, dedicated to song compositions for voice and piano.
The competition is open to composers of all nationalities who have not yet reached the age of 36 on 10 May 2025 (all those born after 11 May 1989).
The selection is based on the composition of two pieces:
– a song for voice and piano on a text by Friedrich Schiller in German
– a composition for voice and piano on a free text of the participant’s choice, whereby the language does not have to be German.

Kaakkomäki-sävellyskilpailu 2025
Antti Peltovuoren säätiö
Antti Peltovuoren säätiö julistaa kaikille avoimen sävellyskilpailun, jossa etsitään uutta sävelmää Kaakkomäelle. Sävelmän pituus on 3-5 minuuttia. Voittaja palkitaan 4 000 euron tunnustuspalkinnolla.
Pirkanmaan Pinna -sävellyskilpailu 2025
Pirkanmaan Pinna ry
Kilpailun tarkoituksena on tuoda uutta ja innostavaa, pedagogisen näkökulman omaavaa ohjelmistoa nuorisopuhallinorkestereiden käyttöön. Kilpailussa on kolme sarjaa: grade 2, grade 3 ja grade 4.
Kilpailuteos on jätettävä tuomariston arvioitavaksi 1.8.2025 klo 23.59 mennessä.
14th Rivers Awards International Composition Competition 2025

The Rivers Awards International Composition Competition (RACC) aims to promote extensive exchange between Chinese and Western music, encouraging innovative and explorative composition for Chinese and Western musical instruments, and build a
high-end platform to introduce outstanding original musical works to the public.
The submission must be composed for a mixture of listed Chinese and Western musical instruments (targeting a number of three to nine performers in total).
Professional composers, teachers or students specializing in composition are all welcomed. There is no participation fee required for the application.
XVIII International Accordion Composition Competition ”Francisco Escudero”
Hauspoz, Accordion Association of the Basque Country
The deadline for submission is September 29, 2025. There is no registration fee. The competition is open to composers of all ages and nationalities.
The first modality is aimed at promoting the creation of works for solo accordion or chamber music with accordion (up to 4 performers and at least one accordion).
The second modality is focused on pedagogical works for students aged 6 to 18. Submissions must be chamber works (solo pieces are not accepted) with a clear educational purpose.
